explaining The Dala projects brand
A lot of you have asked about my logo and company name, so I’m offering a brief explanation here. A dala horse is an iconic Swedish figurine hand-carved from wood and hand-painted. The dala horse eventually became a symbol of Sweden after the 1939 World’s Fair in NYC where a giant dala horse was placed outside the Swedish pavilion. I happen to live and work in a little village known for its Swedish immigration – Lindström, MN – “America's Little Sweden”. While creating the brand for Dala Projects, I chose a symbol that represents something special to me while perhaps introducing you to something new. In addition to honoring my Swedish family heritage, my intention for the brand is to represent meticulous care and craft executed through consultation performed by yours truly.
